When the original mix of this tune was released in the 1980's it pretty much defined UK house, so you can't blame Soul M for not going all out Aphex on this one and sticking pretty close to the sound of the original. With a beefed up mixdown and some much needed added progression, this is the sort of remix that manages to bring a vintage music moment back to relevance. He's also sorted out the tick track that was way too loud in the original 80's mix and everything's just better tuned to the sort of soundsystems we enjoy here in the then future. There's not much you can really say critically about this track without getting too far into the sort of remix politics that bore us all to death but for what it's worth, this is definitely worth picking up, especially if you loved the original and want to start playing it out again.
