On their Myspace page, Greenmoney label themselves as "a pair of jokers from West London making beats in an NW10 rave shed". And for that, I salute! Alex Phountzi, formerly of Bugz In Da Attic, and Leo Greenslade, of West London clubnight yOyO, conjoin their musical pasts and form a fresh take on grime, adding a funky bassline and the attitude of bashment.
This is track one from the EP entitled 'Suh Mi Stay', and features Serocee.
And this below is just a little dedication to a big tune made bigger, dirtier and funkier by Greenmoney. P.S. Greenmoney features already this month on newsicmoos, so rewind through the blog and listen up to the funk of Gramophonedzie's 'Why Don't You?' Enjoy.
Released: 6th July 2010
Label: Fool's Gold Records
