Compilation: Adventures In Dubstep And Beyond // Ministry Of Sound

It's not very often that I'm reeling in glee at the success of unknown tunes ladelled across a forward-thinking compilation. Ministry Of Sound have outdone themselves with Adventures In Dubstep And Beyond, propelling unknown acts from varying genre styles. Not your typical purchase, let me tell ya.

And this is just one tune that struck a chord with us here at Newsicmooooos. Enough to make us moo a more incoherently amplification. Can't wait for the full version. Can we have it now, please?

Dubstep: Watch This Space.

A chance to get grimey, slimey and dubby with a few new dubstep releases and finds this month.

The first track today is by Bristolian TecBloc who shows us a darker side to the future of grime/dubstep. The stirring intro spans a deep and dark minute, complemented by a broken and choppy vocal, until the drop throws you in to a strong dubstep beat - oscillating synth and bleepy noises shape a garage-sound of the future. If you like this, check out Supernova for evidence of his grimey electro beats.

And finally, a more mellow tune by Kush, a relatively unknown. So just check the tune and leave a comment about what you think!

Just one to sizzle yo sizzlers on this scorching weekend. There's no clowns to the left of me, but Joker's doing right! Stuck in the middle of nowhere. What you sayin'? Yay or nay?

Single: Medison featuring Skrein - Harry

Medison - Harry Feat. Skrein (Bare Noize Remix) by TFA

Medison is an East London producer that started off his DJ'ing career at the end of the 90's, eventually producing years later and working with a host of urban names. This tune is deceptively chilled, incorporating a higher pitch of vocal that is proving popular at the moment, yet I urge you dubstep fiends to wait for the durty drop. Remix brought to you by Bare Noize. And remember, a spoonful of dirtballs helps the Medison go down ;)

Enjoy.

Artist: Cragga

Who is this guy?

Up and coming, fresh and new, Cragga's sound seems to replicate the youth appeal of N Dubz, instead applying it to the urban dance scene. Take that as you may, his pop styled garage version of Crookers 'Day N Nite' and mellow dubstep remix of the Twilight theme are sure to be heard on a ringtone near you soon!

The surprise drop in 'The Postman', sampled from motown beauts The Marvelettes, is reason enough for his name to be thrown about. At least for a little while.

Enjoy.
