Eats Everything - The Road To Jack

As we are in midst of the 'awards season' in the music world, this week's Sample Legend Award surely goes to Eats Everything with 'The Road To Jack', a brilliant reworking of the Ray Charles classic 'Hit The Road Jack' from 1961. The Bristol-based fast food-loving producer's genius concoction below:

Fresh this week is the Loose Cannons Remix, and with its syncopated tom line, throbbing sub-bass and the odd cheeky wind chime, it's impossible not to love this, isn't it?

Herve - Together

Now this is a big one fellow ravers.

From Herve’s latest album, Cheap Thrills, ‘Together’ is a happy-go-lucky, upbeat, dance tune that will urge those dancing souls to the surface. Herve makes mixing bassline, house and electro look simple and creates a perfect little harmony. The choir-like vocals in mixed with a typical cheesy house style piano riff makes for a fantastic house tune. As a flag-flyer of fidget-house, Herve does himself and us lot proud in his newest tune. Of course, we cannot forget the soundtrack to the raver's bible, Human Traffic, melting together nostalgia and a sepia-toned oneness. Quite. Herve is currently on tour around the UK throughout October and November, so get your tickets now so you don’t miss out!

Example - Last Ones Standing (Doctor P Remix)

As far as dub-step goes, this remix of Example’s ‘Last Ones Standing’ is seriously unrefined. Sorry. Not only is Example’s version of the song an unconvincing example of rap, but this remix borders on being shallow. A lack of progress, monotonous alternation of dub-stup and 'rap' and a shock entry by Doctor P (of 'Sweet Shop' fame) all combine to create a flatline. But if contrary to our belief you like this, Example can be seen supporting Faithless on their upcoming UK tour.

Milton Jackson - Beautiful Liars

Milton Jackson is simply on fire at the moment. The Glaswegian has had a slew of releases on labels such as Tronicsole, FreeRange and Dark energy records to name but a select few. Jackson’s music is not of the commercial vocal deep house that a saturated genre can be associated with - it's deep, dark and funky. It oozes deep hypnotic vibes, the track is woven together with warm percussions intertwined with soft riffs. With all its deep finery it still manages to have a funky dark groove that will keep the dance floor busy. Keep an ear out for this Milton Jackson style of house.

Congorock - Babylon (Steve Angello Mix)

Steve Angello rips up Congorock's latest release and a floor stomper it is. Simple, bouncy and worthy of a good ear bashing. Enjoy!
